Distraught, destroyed and despondent

Mixed emotions across the three Saturday league teams. The 2nd XI destroyed Mill Hill Village by 9 wickets, the addition of Jon Smart's pace and accuracy proving too much for the opposition. Meanwhile the 1st XI were just two runs from victory when their last wicket fell. Ten points that would have all but assured their safety just out of reach. After excellent bowling and fielding, the 3rd XI were presented with victory on plate against 2nd placed Richmond only to throw away the victory, and the plate, with one of the weakest batting performances of the season. No promotion for the 3rd's this season, the 2's are looking up and 1's are nervously looking down.
