sunday friendly 21aug vs Edgware & Belmont

Crouch Ends Greatest Captain does it again !! WE WON by 50 runs

In a game which will be known as 'wide sunday' for many years to come, they bowled 26 we bowled 32 !!!

Nabil and Mamoon ( little mosh) opened the batting putting on 55 in 15 overs, then Robbie J ( 55) and Hamid (28) cut loose and we got 203 in our 40 overs. DJ proving he is too good for this level with impressive strike rate of 300.

Onto the bowling, Sam and C. Logan opened both recording personal bests, Sam 3 for 31 and Charlie with his first wicket this century !! Dom took his first international wicket !

DJ had 8 (EIGHT) attempted run outs and missed them all - apart form the last one which was thrown to rob at bowlers end but given in - grrrrr. Then i decided it was time to prove my worth with the ball and bowled for the first time since June, 3 overs was enough - take this idiot off - a Captain / Leader / Hero doesnt need to break sweat, relax like all greats, Churchill, Mandela, Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Lex Luthor

Great effort today from the Crouch End young lads and moment of the match is when Charlie was bowling and the kids were shouting encouragement - Charlie said 'guys, keep the noise down, whats all the shouting' - next ball he bowls a wide and blames his own side.

Charles 'SILENCE' Logan - chairman - Crouch End Legend - Owner of crazy dogs - wine drinker - wnats to play cricket with WG grace again
